Childhood Upbringing

It is the first stage of the Nouara Discipleship Program (Equipping Potential Leaders which is a program originally designed by Arab Woman Today (AWT). A two-year and five phase journey with potential leaders which starts from the inside out. The visual representation of the Nouara Program is a tree shaped like a female and with the Objective of training women who already occupy leading positions in churches or those who show potential to take active roles in churches but lack the needed competencies.

The first phase of the program is Personal and is represented by the roots.

The Childhood Upbringing phase is aimed at helping women find out what has shaped them to become the women they are now; we did this by teaching them about self-esteem and about how to assess and emotionally communicate the impact of their upbringing. We provided a convenient environment for women to express feelings, talk about themselves and share about their past experiences. But before all this, we make sure that they know their value in the Eyes of God the Trinity.

The Program addresses topics such as Basic needs, Self-esteem and self-worth, Emotional Healing, using illustrations from the lives of some female Biblical characters. It encourages women to study their Bibles and offers some supportive counseling books.
