  • I want to thank your efforts in the field of empowering Arab women in general and the Jordanian women in particular. Also, I would like to refer to an essential factor that I have seen and touched through the multiple pieces of training that I have already attended with you. The harmony of the team and the spirit of partnership that your team works in is phenomenal. Thank you for aiming to achieve the best results.

Rania Hijazin – A friend and beneficiary

  • You are my example. I benefitted from your workshops and I am successful in my life because of this institution. Thank you because I have completely changed. And the nice thing about it that people can see this beautiful change in me. It’s the correct change because there is a problem if change doesn’t happen for the best.

    Nawal Nasrawi - a beneficiary

I have learned through you some wonderful things that made me a strong, healed and self-confident woman. All the training I took with you were very beneficial and replaceable. • This book is a cry tearing our worn curtains, behind which we hide out of shame because we do not want to see what our hands have committed against the Arab woman. It's a cry that awakens those of us who have fallen into the coma of denying what was committed against her. Not only does it stop at the point of hurting sensitive feelings and awakening living consciences, but it also continues to offer an enlightening meal and some cognitive food for open minds.

Dr. Maher Samuel - Consultant Psychiatrist, MA in Philosophy and Religion

“The Arab Woman: Embracing Her Potential” - book review

  • The problems which the book addresses are not surprising to most of us, because women in all parts of the world share similar concerns. However, what makes it stand out is that it carries a female pulse that touches every woman whose voice has been unlawfully shut up. While the writer does not give solutions, yet solutions lie within every one of us and those solutions will be lost unless we feel them.

Eman Akour – Media consultant and writer

“The Arab Woman: Embracing Her Potential” - book review

  • The Arab woman is a difficult puzzle to solve; she is very intelligent however oppressed by the surrounding conditions and the culture in which we live. Amid this, the author has succeeded in presenting the truth brilliantly and wisely, showing the woman’s true position in Christ."

Dr. Laila Risgallah – Founder and Director of “Not Guilty for Family Development”

“The Arab Woman: Embracing Her Potential” - book review

  • From my heart I would like to thank you all for our possibility to participate at the conference! We had a very nice time together with all the women and it was very interesting to listen to different discussions. Some of the participants were crying when we came back to our guesthouse.. You are so loving and caring and you are doing such a great and important work for other people. So once again, from my heart: Thank you!

Eva Ohlsson from Sweden - the Human rights group/ Volunteers - Network 2013

  • Thank you, friends, for your prayers for our 4th annual Jordan Refugee Medical Outreach with our Jordanian partners from ACCTS. Our U.S. team, returned yesterday forever changed. What a privilege to be a small part of the stories of hope, healing, and redemption He is writing in the lives of these precious people. Thank you for joining us in this initiative.

Dough Chandler – medical campaign 2017

  • I am so privileged to be a partner with such a ministry. It is awesome to know the number of women that this ministry touches through its radio program and through the other local and regional events to reach the Arab women and educate them and empower them to be a great asset to their society and culture.

    Raedah Saman, Volunteer/ AWT

  • Arab Woman Today is a women-oriented ministry that not only hears but listens to the problems of these heavy loaded women; not only understands the adversities, the background and implications of the culture but also counsels them to have a better self-esteem and guides them to an intimate walk with God. I am tremendously blessed by meeting them and give thanks to God for allowing me to have a closer relationship with them.

    Nuria Lara

  • I think AWT is very strategic: Women and their roles are vital to society. AWT, in seeking to minister to women throughout the Arab world, is influencing not only their present-day listeners, but future generations as well. As they address relevant needs and encourage areas of strength. They are investing in the lives of women, their families and their communities, communicating truth and showing genuine love as they correspond with listeners.

    Sue Eenigenburg

  • It has been our pleasure to partner with AWT ministries for two years now. When I first met with some of the staff of AWT, I was astounded by the amount of love they have for Arabic women. They see needs in women and work diligently to meet those needs.

Jean Cullen, Ministry Consultant/ Women Missionary Union

  • AWT Ministry is very important because it encourages women and concerns about women's right. Especially; women's rights are ranked low in the Middle East.

    Cherry Lee

  • AWT ministry blesses me greatly in its efforts to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to our Arab sisters. What deeper reward can there be than leading a woman to the One who saves her and loves her unconditionally? Her life and eternal destiny are forever changed and she will greatly impact her family and culture around her for Christ. Ruba and her team are dedicated to encouraging, supporting, and teaching Arab women, despite personal risk and hardship, because every woman deserves to hear the life changing news of Jesus Christ.

Liz Church, Director of Women’s Ministries/ Crossroads Bible Church

  • Arab Woman Today is a wonderful ministry!! Women in the Arab world have too often been forgotten and underutilized. And AWT is working, in cooperation with the local church, to correct that problem.

Dr. Kristin Beasley, Executive Director/ Greater Reach Ministries

  • It is such an honor for me to give to AWT. I believe in the power of reaching millions of the lost and hurting though radio. Radio is expensive, but oh so powerful. I believe in the work that AWT is doing to make God known all across the 22 Arab countries.

Kay Parker, US Liaison for AWT

  • We know that AWT is doing such a good job to help the people in that region (Middle East & North Africa) of the world and we want to help them all that we can.

    Valerie Hastings

  • What can I say concerning the wonderful trip I have lived with Arab Woman Today Ministry? I cannot either find a word or a sentence to describe the love, care and encouragement that you have afforded, or describe the huge amount of rich spiritual information that changed us deep within. How you worked on our characters; the weaknesses and strengths in us. Each conference and workshop I attended with you touched different areas of my life. I can’t thank enough AWT and each person who worked on my life through this wonderful ministry, nor can I thank enough each person who labored in order that I could reach to this extent.

Rawan Haddad – A Partner, friend and Beneficiary

  • It is a joy to support AWT. We pray that God will continue to use this vital ministry to teach moral and spiritual truths and principles to the women in the Arab World, and to bring them hope.

Marganne Pearce, Bent Tree Bible Fellowship

  • It is difficult to put in words how much I admire the women that work and serve the Lord through AWT. They are amazing women who embraced me, had patience with my lack of Arabic speaking skills and guided me in navigating the culture. Their passion for other women and the Lord is contagious! I am so thankful that the Lord allowed me to serve at AWT over the last 6 years. I will forever be changed by my involvement with the women and the ministry of Arab Woman Today.

    Colleen McWilliams – Former Staff

  • When September 2012 came, we were very happy to come back home to Pensacola, but our departure was bittersweet and our hearts were heavy, as we left behind many new friends in Jordan. We now look forward to sharing our experiences with many of our friends and family members, and to continuing our work with AWT and ACCTS. Our lives have been forever changed.

Tom Jenkins – Hillcrest Baptist Church

  • All the Eva-women are very motivated to raise funds and awareness of the refugee situation in Jordan. A lot of ladies have delivered presentations in their churches, prayed and given offerings. So thank you for the organization and all that you did for us. Because I know it’s a lot of work and energy to organize this for fifty ladies. All the best and blessings...

Yolenta Pater- Team Leader of Eva Women

  • Our partnership with AWT goes back to the early years of this ministry. We feel that as ministries targeting women we complement each other in different areas. It is an honor to serve alongside these genuine Christians who have a deep passion to work for His glory.

Nada Safi Haddad/ Director of I AM A WOMAN Center - Beirut, Lebanon

  • The WMU Foundation is so proud to partner with ACCTS/AWT. You are reaching Arab men, women & children in creative, loving, and innovative ways, and we are excited to help through the ACCTS/AWT Fund.

    David George, WMU Foundation

  • Medair is happy and proud to partner with ACCTS-AWT. The Women psychosocial workshops (SEW) in Irbid are amazing! You are reaching out to the most vulnerable refugee women. You’re not only giving them the opportunity to share concerns and talk about their psychosocial issues, educating them on early marriage, and reproductive health topics, and gender based violence, but also you’re providing a healthy atmosphere where they can feel comfortable and be together with other women who have experienced the same. Lots of blessings.

Elsa Groenveld/ Health & Nutrition Project Manager- MEDAIR

  • Tearfund is privileged to partner with ACCTS. Seeing the transformation in people's lives through your projects, especially the Trauma workshops is amazing. Apparently, it's a reflection of God's work and love. As Mother Teresa said, “We can do no great things, only small things with great love”, and your great love makes your work special. We are pleased to help and fund ACCTS/AWT projects and be part of this work. Tearfund looks forward to more years of partnership. God bless you.

Thomas Stocker/ Middle East Response Manager/ Partners- Tearfund

  • Traveling to be part of the AWT women's leadership conference was a trip of a lifetime in many respects. The greatest treasure I gained was the friendship of women half a world away. They are strong and brave, and they are benefiting greatly from Ruba Abbassi's vision of an annual women's leadership conference.

    Elaine Parsley- Holland Road Fellowship

  • What incredible love, kindness and Middle Eastern hospitality they showered on us! We bonded quickly with our new friends and teammates, and as the week and work progressed, it felt as though we had been working together for years. All of my team members commented on how wonderful all of our Jordanian teammates were and marveled at the excellence with which they had planned, organized and facilitated the outreach from start to finish.

Partner Doug Chandler- New Life Providence Church

  • I can honestly say that throughout these few days that we have spent in the clinic the transformation that I had was drastic. The way I perceive things and people will never be the same again.

Rula Fakhoury- A volunteer translator- medical team 2016

  • This experience has had a lasting, meaningful impact on my life, and despite the months that have passed I am still processing all that I heard and saw. I am also very grateful to have worked with the wonderful ACCTS staff and volunteers. They were warm, generous, thoughtful, professional, and encouraging throughout the three-day clinic. I could not have asked for a better team to be a part of.

    Jennifer Thiessen- A psychologist

  • The stories of resilience and perseverance have been transformative for me and I’m sure other volunteers from around the world feel the same.

    Denise Gunn- Hillcrest Church

  • Thanks for giving us the chance to be able to help and put a smile on the face of women living under psychological stress, and in a masculine dominated culture, to raise their awareness about their rights. It was a great achievement!

A coach from Trauma & SGBV awareness workshops

  • This day's clinic was by far the longest and toughest. I got to listen to the stories of nine different Syrian refugee women - I felt helpless at certain moments, but it made me more eager to come back to Dallas and do all I can for the refugees who are resettling here.

    Petra kay- medical campaign 2017

  • It was such an honor to serve refugees from Syria and Iraq, as well as Jordanians in need. I was moved to see the creative and inspiring ways our Jordanian partners are working to meet the vast needs of the refugees and their fellow countrymen who are also experiencing hard times. It was humbling and moving to listen to their stories, offer encouragement, and honor their pain.

Jennifer Thiessen - medical campaign 2017

  • I am still thinking about the time we spend in Tunisia, and I am thankful for the gift that I had the opportunity to go there and had the chance to meet Christians from Tunisia, and talk with them about their challenges and saw their happiness of being there together. I am thankful to meet ACCTS/AWT team. I think you do a remarkable job in the Arab world.

Stieneke van der Graaf – Training Tunisia 2017

  • I'm just humbled that I can see with my own eyes empowering women in action. This makes my heart soar! The fifth largest city in Jordan now is a refugee camp. Look what the Jordanians are doing to help. The fifth largest city in Jordan now is a refugee camp. Look what the Jordanians are doing to help. These ten refugee women just graduated from a plumbing course in Jordan. They wanted to learn how to fix things in their home so they wouldn’t have to call a plumber or ask their husband. How many American women can do this? I know I can’t. A church from OC provided them with their own “tool kit.” Love this 1000x’s over. Thank you Mountain View for your generosity.
