“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” - 2 Corinthians 3:17
Dear friends and partners,
May 25 marks Jordan’s Independence Day. Although this day is not celebrated with firework displays and bar-b-q, it is a day that we as Christians can remember our citizenship in this kingdom (the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan) and in Christ’s coming kingdom. However, only one kingdom is eternal. While we live as citizens on this earth, we at ACCTS encourage and equip Jordanian youth and people across the Arab world to live out God’s calling wherever they are.
Sincerely,
Nabeeh and Ruba Abbassi

Training of Trainers (ToT) Recap
Women who participated in April’s Training of Trainers session learned many things from God’s word. They studied truths about God’s gift of saving us by his grace, as we read about in Ephesians 2:1-10. The women also learned from the book of James and the parable of the sower found in Luke 8. From the books of Philippians and Colossians, they were encouraged to have a new way of thinking and to set their minds on things above. 2 Timothy’s letter reminded them that although the road may be difficult, they are not alone.

Tree of Roles Workshop
The Tree of Roles is a workshop that is part of AWT’s leadership training. This workshop aims to provide women with the motivation, knowledge, and skills to be more qualified leaders within their sphere of influence. On May 14, AWT hosted this workshop on Zoom for 27 women, with AWT team members following up with them in a WhatsApp group.
One lady saw how she could apply this workshop in her life. Before her mom and dad passed away last year, her relationship with them had its challenges. She thanked God she was aware of these issues and that the relationship improved. Other women learned healthier ways to release stress and set healthy boundaries. After benefiting from this workshop, several noted the need to continue having them.

One million people reached!
The ACCTS youth department continues to cultivate tangible change in our youth, whom we are building up and encouraging with fast-growing, impactful social media interaction. We are excited to announce that we have reached more than one million people on our Zawieh Thanieh (Another Angle) social media networks in the last seven months.
We are opening the doors for new youth in our community to reach out to us through an interactive strategy. This strategy helps males and females share their challenges and struggles and be open to change in their lives. Thank you for celebrating the impact of the youth department with us!
Weekly devotional videos - Our minds and hearts speak God's word and truth to others.
One hundred and thirty-nine young men and women have received motivational, inspirational, and affirmational messages through our weekly devotional videos.
