Our Family and Friends,
We are excited to share with you the positive impact that is going on with ACCTS/AWT.
Thank you for your partnership. I invite you to read and pray for this amazing ministry.
Special thanks for the churches and friends who gave extra funding to keep the center serving our community. Your generosity helps us face the challenge of an unexpected deficit for the end of 2019 because one leading partner organization made a sudden decision at the beginning of 2019 to move all their operations to Syria.
Yours
Nabeeh and Ruba Abbassi

Our Cycling Champion, Proud of you, Ruba!
Twenty-seven godly cyclists and support members from the USA, Honduras, Albania, Spain, and Jordan accepted the challenge of love Spain cycling tour June 9-23 at three Canary Islands. Proud of Ruba, who was a valuable part of the team!
"I was so blessed to join the tour this year. We started every morning with devotion and prayers. We studied 2 Peter chapters 1-3. After that, we start cycling according to the program each day. We visited three islands. The biggest challenge was climbing Mount Teide, the highest volcano mountain in Spain with 3,718 m. We reached the highest point where we can climb at 2305 m above sea level. It is considered one of the top ten training places for cycling champions in the world. My experience was phenomenal because it was my first time climbing this height.

We also had a chance to visit the cultural center in Madrid, where they reach out to refugees from the Arab world and South America. I had an opportunity to share our experience in serving Syrian refugees through our ACCTS community center in northern Jordan. It was such an inspiring experience to learn from each other and share heartfelt stories. I'm so thankful for the safety and lifetime opportunity.
Every one of the cyclists left back home inspired and gained knowledge about God's incredible work at both cultural centers in Spain and Jordan."
Love in Christ

Influential emerging leaders
Speaking about the impact of spread inspiration, we can proudly say that we have seen this through some enlightened trainees of our leadership training. Grateful to see these potential young women, who have been benefitting from our ministry, grow in leadership skills and influence.
Mirna from Aleppo is helping us disciple some young women in her hometown and is sharing our materials. She succeeded to accomplish her dream of starting up a kindergarten and now is serving the young mothers. Mirna said, "Your material helped me in my spiritual growth; it's why I felt motivated to share it on different occasions. On mother's day, I held a special event for young mothers based on the sunflower theme of our last Network. In addition to another two Syriac Orthodox churches reaching 260 women up to this date."
Another potential young lady, Haneen, a beautiful spirit, is continuously and passionately sharing her knowledge where she can sow seeds and thus multiplying the impact. She enthusiastically reported, "I am a different person now; I am shy, but now I'm sharing with boldness and can see how this is influencing those I serve. I took lots of courses, but this training is different and life-changing. You provided me with rich material to empower others.
In one occasion, I shared the biblical concept of integrity with a class of 6 years-old Sunday school children. The results were overwhelmingly heart-warming, with the children being aware of this value that can foster their spiritual growth. In another occasion, I shared the same topic with my church group of almost 45 women. A significant interaction took place since the enlightenment revealed some areas that are lacking integrity in their lives. They understood how they should live with a right heart before God. We also talked about forgiveness & reconciliation; it was fascinating how women put their energy and knowledge together in discussion, raising lots of questions."
Bless your heart, ladies!

An active month at the Community Center
The community center was busy last month trying vigorously to serve the refugees and vulnerable Jordanians, whether through the awareness sessions or practical and emotional support. The center reached al-Husn camp to benefit the area with some awareness on First Aid, and therefore equip the people with the skills and confidence needed to assist someone in a medical emergency.
Another lecture was conducted to increase legal awareness within the Jordanian society and inform workers about their legal rights. The purpose is to enable victims whose rights have been violated to seek justice.
Glad to announce the graduation of a new group of Syrian and vulnerable Jordanian pre-schoolers who are now ready for a smooth transition to school.
For more about the Center’s events, visit First aid, Legal awareness, Preschoolers’ graduation.

We're soon inviting new partners for 2020, but at this time we invite you to consider a one-time gift of any size to help the community center to continue serving those in need. So, will you help us serve the refugees for the next month?
You can also choose to support women coming to our
Regional Network in October.
A gift of $1050 helps cover the cost of one Arab woman to attend this valuable training.

ACCTS participation in Lausanne & CAWI
Thanks for praying for Basma, our program manager who represented ACCTS in Lausanne Conference organized by the Women Global Movement. Sixty international women leaders, met at the Rise in Strength consultation in Amsterdam, June 2019, to celebrate the contribution of Christian women to the work of God in the world.
The gathering concluded with a written agreement addressing a call to all Christian men and women of the global Church to act so that women, men, girls, and boys can all embrace their spiritual giftings to strengthen the work of the Church, and Her witness to the glory of God.
Senior editor, Dima represented ACCTS at The Christian Arab Writers' initiative- Beirut CAWI where Arab writers shared experiences and received training on writing fiction and real-life stories. She got the chance to meet with some elite editors in the field. It has been a practical approach to creating a rich Christian platform that can glorify our Lord — praying for some influential Christian literary works to see the light and inspire this generation!
