Dear Family and Friends,

I heard the following quote by Steve Maraboli at a time of frustration; since we are facing a closed door in front of two big projects related to relief and community development, “Every time I thought I was being rejected from something good, I was actually being re-directed to something better.”

I believe our Sovereign Lord has something better for us. And we invite you to join us in prayer for our hearts and minds to be open to new things, or may I say by faith, to better things.

Spiritual formation Workshops

AWT shared with two women groups of 67 women the practical teaching about how to be influential in our surrounding by drawing our spiritual nutrition from the right source so that we can bear spiritual fruit.

Women’s interaction was great and powerful. The Lord spoke to them directly. Their eyes opened to new approaches to having their quality time with the Lord. Illustrations such as Elijah’s story and the sunflower’s response to sunlight were brought to life and found relevance to women’s lives. Likewise, women were encouraged to run towards the sun of righteousness, Jesus Christ.

Women were encouraged to support each other within the body of Christ. Of course, to depend on the Lord’s touch as a source but also not to neglect the support of their sisters in the church.

Those precious ladies expressed receiving comfort and being freed from some burdens. One woman was weeping when the Lord gave her a revelation that relieved her.

"I have enjoyed the scripture you shared about God’s touch. I couldn’t miss one single word! I couldn’t close my eyes or shut my ears; the message was speaking to me!"

"You have spoken directly to us and touched the core of our hearts and needs. You spoke to us in parables like Jesus."

"I want to go back and read the stories of the Bible in a different way."

A wide-scale local campaign this November

Under the patronage of her Royal Highness Princess Basma Bint Talal, ACCTS-AWT is privileged to hold a local campaign titled “Your Strength Comes from Hers” this coming November.

Each team member is now fully dedicated to this cause which aims at promoting strong beliefs regarding women’s value, rights and potentials. Through different and wide activities and tools, the campaign aims to raise awareness and draw public support virtually and on ground to ignite a flame of hope for a better life for women. Lectures and workshops are taking place in different intellectual edifices, such as Princess Alia University College and other cultural centers, not to mention ours. Social Media and women groups shall be a rich platform for this initiation.

The campaign will be launched on the 17^th of November and is held in partnership with many influential non-governmental civil organizations. Such as Arab Women Media Center (AWMC) whose concern is developing the community in the fields of human, women and children rights, Sisterhood is Global Institute Jordan (SIGI) which believes that women are partners in facing public challenges and formulating future directions.

In this campaign, we focus on three core dimensions that give women the strength they need to grow in self-confidence, unlock their potential and break down barriers to be active participants in the development of the society. These, basically, revolve around: believing in her, respecting her and empowering her.

We believe the equity that women demand is not only an issue between them and men, but it is often an issue between women themselves. They are the most important catalysts for change. By challenging and defying discriminatory attitudes, individual women and women's groups can advance the rights of women for generations to come.
