ACCTS-AWT 2018-01
Reasons why 2017 was so awesome!
Dear Family and Friends,
2017 was a year marked by spiritual warfare
and various challenges, both personally and within the
ministry. Yet, the Lord did not waste these difficulties,
but rather used them to teach us and deepen our
faith.
We enter the New Year with gratitude for your
sustaining prayers and support. Your prayers are vital to us and
to the work God is doing.
Looking forward for this year to expand our programs and implement
new reaching out strategies among women and community development in
Jordan.

Community
ACCTS contributed to the society and left footprints
behind. 2197 Syrian and Jordanian community members (women,
teenagers, boys & girls) were equipped and their lives improved
through ACCTS Irbid Community Center (ICC) and its community projects
in general. Beneficiaries were equipped with skills and vocational
trainings; including Math and English tutoring, basic knowledge on
gardening elements, electricity maintenance, food processing,
plumbing, sewing and soap making. In addition to creating initiatives
& personal development skills encouraging self-reliance, and
providing counseling books. And on some special occasions such as Christmas,
unique parties were conducted for women and their kids.
Overall, it was heart-warming to hear the laughter and
witness the joy of the hurt and vulnerable.
“I started my
own soap income generating project and got quite a good amount of
money to help my family.”

Bringing awareness and enlightenment in support of women’s
conditions in our country in partnership with the civil society.
- Tangible change in the lives of
discipled women. Thrilled as we watch them continue the journey
and disciple others.
- Peace in Jordan, which is a safe
haven in a region of turmoil.

Empowerment
By God’s grace and provision, we were able to empower
and equip 329 women and men in 12 Arab countries through leadership,
discipleship, awareness, coaching and counseling training
programs.
“I now know my
true value in Christ, and won’t allow people to determine who I am. I
have learned not to lose hope. Every day I am coming closer to
applying the values and morals of the Bible.”

Relief
Compassion was demonstrated to 1026 Syrian refugees
and poor Jordanians through medical assistance and the psychological
program. 240-food packages were distributed to sustain the need of
4-8 family members for around 5-10 days.
“You made me feel like a human
being. I am startled with the way you embraced me; it is the
first time I see someone smiling at me. It’s totally out of my
vocabulary; I can barely fathom what is happening.”
