5 April, 2014

Amman, Jordan (ACCTS-AWT) - On the fourth and fifth of April, ACCTS-AWT Center held training for potential women along with the staff. It was the first training in 2014, and the third of five phases of the “Nouara” Program. Ten women attended and the training addressing relational needs.

The training was conducted by Dr. Amani Albert, lecturer of Public Relations and Advertising/ Faculty of Mass communication at Beni-Suef University, Egypt. Dr. Albert provided plenty of rich material and additional resources through the Living Waters website.

Who am I?

Why do we do what we do?

What do I need to know about others?

The training helped discover these personal visions and perspectives about self, such as: Personal image, Motivations and the needs behind them, Inner needs, art of communication with others, types of characters, art of listening, and body language.

“It was a successful training by all means!”

- a participant

Interaction was outstanding as women shared what they profited from the program and the practical influence it had on their lives.

Besides, women made comments and suggestions and took notes to help improve the program in the future in creative ways to boost interaction and provoke eagerness to engage the participants. Sharing testimonies, prayers, and life stories of change which  pours out into deeper discussions and therefore deeper relationships.

Deeper Discussions … Deeper Relationships

This Relational phase works toward building healthy relationships with the self and others. Such knowledge and learned truths empower women to transparently relate to their inner needs and identify the reasons behind their deeds. They also have the chance to know about the needs of others in their surroundings and therefore gaining greater impact in their sphere of influence. For more information about the cons of the relationships program and the skills learned from this phaseand for a holistic image about the training program in general, you may go to Discipleship Description.

This Leadership program Nouara aims to equip potential Christian women leaders in small towns far away from Amman like those who are either ill-trained but already occupy leading positions in churches, or the ones who show potential to take active roles in churches but lack the needed competencies.

IDENTIFY… ADOPT… CHANGE… IMPACT

This is how we achieve our goals in helping women IDENTIFY their personal, spiritual and social needs, encourage them to ACCEPT the truth about themselves, lead them to pursue CHANGE in their lives, and motivate them to IMPACT others and be a voice for change in the society.
