Irbid, Jordan (ACCTS-AWT) - ACCTS Irbid Community Center celebrated the graduation of seven ladies who joined the sewing training which started on January 13th and ended on April 3rd. The sewing training program aims to equip the targeted beneficiaries with professional sewing skills that may help them in the future to launch their own income generating projects through producing and selling relevant stuff, or provide any other related services. It also aims to provide them with a way to save some money since they can repair their own clothes after the course. They won’t need to depend on external sources, such as a tailor; and thus will save money for other basic needs.

Dalal one of the participants heard about Irbid Community Center at Al Husson from her friends and decided to participate in the sewing course. She spent three months of training, and when she had graduated and before leaving the center, she added a note, said, "I learned a lot of skills during the three-month training period, and the most important thing I learned was to rely on myself in everything. It was an honor for me to have been accepted in the program. The center is like my second home and the staff members were like family, because of the way they welcomed me in addition to their behavior toward us. And furthermore their great love for the beneficiaries and their children."

At the end of the celebration the participants received their certificates along with a lovely gift. And we cannot wait to graduate a new group of motivated women.
