A day of craft-time bonding and pouring into the hearts of fellow women in Zarqa.

Zarqa, Jordan – Another sewing workshop was held in Zarqa in cooperation with Al-Hayat Centre for women empowerment. 20 Syrian and Jordanian women attended this workshop led by teacher Afaf Oweis and our partner from Dallas, Sheryl Belson. By the end of the session, the ladies had embroidered four coasters and were overjoyed to have produced such charming crafts.

We believe there is beauty in learning a craft because it introduces women to a new skill they can then hone by themselves which sparks self independence in them. On the other hand, we believe that quality time in investing in the lives of others is very precious and equally essential to see the joy in their eyes when introduced to sewing and crafting techniques.

The whole event was very pleasant and we are certain to continue providing such workshops in the future.
