Nouara series for Women Empowerment hosted in Aqaba

AWT travelled to Aqaba in order to provide an educational session for women on the topic of understanding the basic needs of women and attending them.

Free Evangelical Church, Aqaba (ACCTS-AWT) – AWT held a training session in Aqaba whereby eighteen women from the ages of nineteen to sixty attended from a range of backgrounds. Throughout this workshop, our attendees were taught about the basic needs of women, and the result of unmet needs on a woman’s psychological health. Moreover, the sessions elaborated on the importance of the upbringing of women explained how forgiveness and reconciliation is vital in any healthy relationship for one’s mental state.

One woman was so convinced by the information she had received, she said, “I can’t wait to go back home to hug my daughter and change the way I have been raising her”.

Many of the attendees greatly appreciated receiving this information. Some women came from very conservative backgrounds in which their intellectual and social openness had been restricted. Therefore, this training and empowerment opportunity helped women to come to their own judgments on the topics discussed.
