Learning your Personality Workshop
ACCTS hosts an awareness program for ladies of the church in Karak, South of Jordan.
August 17th, 2013
Karak, Jordan (ACCTS-AWT) - The city of Karak holds a particular biblical significance. It relates to how the King of Israel and his allies from Judah and Edom ravaged Moab and besieged its king Mesha in the fortress of Kir-heres. In this ancient city, AWT held a workshop by the name “Learning your personality through your heart and spiritual gifts”. This was located in the Nazarene Church in which 3 staff members and two volunteers taught the sessions.
The aim was to help women hone their communication skills for better coordination between leaders and church members. This encouraged the ladies to identify the unique abilities of every individual on their team alongside recognizing their strengths and weaknesses. Moreover, it helped them to organize themselves more efficiently and encourage more fruitful team dynamics when put into practice.
Of the 13 women who attended, all were convinced that the training was well done. It was particularly useful in learning about how they should delegate tasks and roles. In the long run, we have received feedback that the sessions should be longer rather than a half-day training. Also, we hope to include more topics i.e. family and relational subjects which are not included in the church teaching.
