"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as a reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."

Colossians 3:23-24.

Dear friends and partners,

Such a hectic time at the office; working as busy as bees in the hive of our Lord! Our medical campaign has just finished, our fifteen's annual network is at the corner, to be followed by our second annual youth conference and a social media campaign aiming at influencing people's body, soul and spirit. In our campaign this year, we are aiming to restore confidence and bring healing to the lives of abused women. All this and more need your support in prayers that avail much.

Please support my sport effort

I'm so excited about this year's cycling race "dead2red". The 125-mile race is on fire for my team and me. The aim is not to win as much as to raise community awareness about outdoor sport and women practicing sport in the street. I'm serious about stopping accidents of riders, and I'm pressing on pursuing cyclists' rights while they are on the road. Will you be part of my mission? Will you help us live in a peaceful world? We need $1800 for a trio team.

Here is how you can help.

We invite you to consider a one-time gift of any size to help the community center to continue to serve those in need. So, will you help us serve the refugees for the next month?

You can also choose to support women coming to our Regional Network in October. Any gift to total $1050 helps cover the cost of one Arab woman to attend this valuable training.

Medical Campaign Continues Six Years Strong

ACCTS hosted an amazing three-day medical clinic at Huson Baptist Church for the Syrian refugees and poor Jordanians living in the north. In partnership with a professional team of medical specialists who came from America and over 33 Jordanian volunteers who, in perfect harmony, orchestrated in support of the team. Volunteers from the US included professional counselors, an ultrasound technician, a cardiologist, ER doctors, and a dentist.

The impact of the clinic was significant. It provided people with anything from medical treatment, activities for children, and a dental care unit to haircuts to help with stress and sleep issues. The medical clinics served a total of four hundred and six people during the three days.

An Engaging Workshop for Effective Communication

ACCTS held a workshop about character types and effective communication styles at the Alliance Academy Jordan. A group of women and teachers attended the group who acquired a better understanding of self and others and began to search for effective ways of communication, whether on the personal or professional levels.

One lady said, "I am a bank employee, and the nature of my job, in the IT field, implies that I deal with different personalities. Therefore, I need to be calm enough to communicate the solutions clearly to the staff. This training helped me comprehend the communication patterns that differentiate people; so that they won't provoke me to anger."

More impact on the local community

We are grateful for the broader involvement in the community and the uplifting feedback from our beneficiaries. It brings joy to our hearts every time we hear or see how all the investment is making a huge difference in others' lives.

  • Our Professional Counseling Service is still going strong, supporting some cases of abuse, dysfunctional marriages and reassuring self-worth through exploring childhood and family dynamics to working on prioritizing self and needs, in addition to acquiring a healthy perspective about self and life.

"I no longer do things to please others, and although I still hear hurtful words, the difference is that in the past, I used to break down in tears and feel deeply hurt. Now, I don't care because I know that I can never change others and they are not going to fulfill the love I long for. Now I feel better about myself."
