Dear Family and Friends

In April 1994 Nabeeh & Ruba returned to Jordan for full-time ministry. What a joyful season to celebrate both our 25th jubilee and our Lord’s resurrection! Blessed assurance; a savior died for our sins.

“He (Christ) was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 1:4 ESV

While Christians around the world celebrate Palm Sunday and Easter, we are reminded of the heart of God toward sinners. As the Lord Jesus approached Jerusalem, his ears were deaf to the celebrating crowds, and his eyes showed his tender heart towards sinners, he wept. Jesus knew that people failed to recognize him as the Messiah and only acknowledged him as a prophet. The cries of the world still stand “Who is the Person of Jesus?” Unfortunately, people still see him as a prophet. Our message is to spread the good news about the risen Christ, the Son of God who can save the World. It’s why we celebrate Easter. Happy Easter.

Please celebrate 25 exciting years
with us by prayerfully considering
a gift to help ACCTS serve the refugees for the next month.

Check out our website and some of our photos throughout the years while you

to support ACCTS.

Our main Dutch partner organization made a sudden decision at the beginning of 2019 to move all their operations to Syria, resulting in an unexpected deficit of $90,000 for the end of 2019. A partner church in Texas took the challenge to give a very generous one-time extra gift of $10,000, leaving us with a deficit of $80,000.

We will soon be inviting new partners for 2020, but at this time we invite you to consider a one-time gift of any size to help us meet the 2019 budget. With these gifts, the community center can continue to serve those in need.

We thank the Lord for your partnership and friendship throughout the years. We are trusting the Lord and know that you will stand with us in this challenging situation.

Other Highlights Include:

  • Nineteen women graduated this April from our Life Growth Program Nouara. It has been a turning point in the lives of the women; the teaching influenced their lives. Women showed a passion for learning and established their true value in Christ.

The ladies gained higher self-esteem and showed greater influence. They developed positive, honest attitudes to deal with character and emotional complications to live a more balanced life. Ladies learned how to express themselves and forgive. Some renewed commitments to living a more disciplined spiritual life, and two took decisions to reconcile with God.

“I feel I’m growing up right now after marriage more than I did during my childhood. I’ve been learning to manage myself independently. I learned something from every lesson and shared all with my husband. The teaching was doable and easy to be applied and shared. The program made a big difference in my life!”

  • A spiritual training emphasizing the sacrificial work of Christ was held at a local church. It addressed the mind of God towards healthier relationships in the body of Christ as based on Romans 12.

“When you asked me if I am alive or dead,
I had that awakening sting of conscience to examine my salvation.
And I prayed for God to assure me and accept me as His daughter.”

  • Grateful to see this potential Syrian lady, who has been benefitting from our ministry, grow in leadership skills and influence. Mirna from Aleppo is helping us disciple some young women in her hometown and is sharing our materials. She succeeded to accomplish her dream of starting up a kindergarten and now is serving the young mothers. On mother’s day, she held a special event for them based on the sunflower theme of our last Network. Bless your heart Mirna!

Praise and Thanksgiving

  • For presenting Christ on social media on the occasion of Easter and the great support it has been bringing to the lives of young women following us on social media
  • For two precious volunteers, Melanie and Caro, who are giving us a hand in ministry in such a time of need

Prayer Requests

  • For structuring our new Arab Men Today Department (AMT). We are now in the process of building the soft aspects of the department.
  • For the success of an upcoming interactive training that will empower 20 potential young Christian men and women, who serve in the academic and ministry fields, with creative learning styles and equip them as facilitators. For that, they can make a difference and influence their schools and churches.
