Equipped to Confront

Arab women recognized their True Image in AWT’s Eleventh Annual Conference entitled Selfie.

Amman, Jordan (ACCTS-AWT) - Fifty-five women from 12 countries were equipped in AWT’s 2015 Eleventh Annual Conference. It was a 4-day conference that took place at Geneva hotel Amman and was entitled “Selfie”. Participant Countries included: Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, UAE, Kuwait, KSA, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Israel, Sweden and the USA.

and encouragement with one another

 

A special Official Opening Ceremony was held on Thursday 15, 2015 where Board members, donors and friends of ACCTS-AWT attended in an intimate festive atmosphere of correlation that marked the marvelous spirit of the organization’s history and passion, plus giving a glimpse of the upcoming teaching to be presented in the conference.

 

Two keynote speakers from Egypt and Jordan covered spiritual, psychological and social issues.

Two groups from Florida and Texas came from USA to pamper our women with love, prayers and massages.

 

Fruits of Change were reaped as women shared their decisions for forgiveness; restoring relationships in friendships, marriages and families. Networkers are discipling other women in their countries, and our training materials were their yearly resource. Many women restored their true value and reconciled with themselves. Others decided to dedicate more time to read and study the Word of God and prioritize their relationship with God. Some shared that they will change their attitude regarding the challenges they face, and will use the tools and skills they have learned.

Meet Solida Marcos a participant from UAE, Dubai - a Lebanese wife and mother and a successful fashion designer. Solida was thirsty for a renewal in her life. Having had made the acquaintance of many other women from various nationalities and congregations through the Network, she had her experience enriched and her faith strengthened. She has been given the opportunity to digest some life changing subjects, and a new freeing insight about forgiveness.

 

Meet Salwa a participant leader from Bethlehem had almost lost that image of herself, this conference made her look differently to herself again. Since The conference aimed to help the woman to understand herself, and therefore be equipped to confront the challenges she faces as a result of her upbringing and the society.

 

 

It’s how our Annual Network Conference provides Arab women leaders with the motivation, knowledge, and skills that would empower them to become more qualified as leaders and impact other women in their sphere of influence.
