Real Life Parental Situations Exposed

A panel discussion for youth tackled some critical parent child relationship issues. Differences in opinion between the two generations were shared openly.

Gilead, Al-Salt, Jordan (ACCTS-AWT) – In June, 2015, ACCTS-AWT conducted a discussion panel about “Differences in opinion between parents and children”, directed to one hundred and thirty students during a summer youth camp in Gilead, Al-Salt, Jordan. Participants were all secondary school students in the age group 15-17.

 

Real life examples were openly represented; addressing core parent child issues, and revealing the truth of certain parental and community attitudes and practices.

 

Teenagers expressed their hearts and their real life challenges

 

The panel was enthusiastic, and a fruitful two-way discussion was going on, besides some private conversations seeking counseling which took place too. Young students gave an attentive ear, and the good discussions of experience and relevance enriched the panel.
