Al Husn, Irbid - Jordan (ACCTS-Refugees) – From 25th till the 27th of May, 2015, ACCTS coordinated with New Life Providence Church located in Virginia, USA to arrange for a medical campaign at Al Husn Baptist church in the North. The campaign was a resounding success and a good opportunity to share love and offer much-needed treatment from both Jordanian and Syrian refugee families.

A team of 22 staff from Jordan and the U.S.A. that consists of specialized doctors, nurses, volunteer translators and organizers, plus participants from ACCTS staff were privileged to serve the people and support them with medical treatments. Medical aid was provided in fields such as: general medicine, pediatrics and gynecologists.

People received free medication that can support them for at least one month.

Syrians and Jordanians in the North; Irbid and Al Husn were the target group. Patients were reached and followed up through the distribution points consisting of churches, where announcements were declared and reporting was proceeded.

A special Program was arranged supported by kids’ specialists, who cared for the kids and prepared some exciting activities; a schedule rich with games, drawing and coloring.

People were very thankful and felt relieved after the sessions. Still, however, as precious and as important is the medication that we were providing, the humanity that we showed them was what truly pierced their hearts.

Humanity is the best therapy
